In the winter time, besides cross-country skiing and sled hill you could also go down hill skiing in the nearhood.
The downhill skiing center "Ruunarinteet" lies only about one hour's drive (52Km) away . The center has six slopes, out of which 4 are equipped with lightning covering the skiing slope and also snow making equipment. Difference in altitude 85m, hillside lengths 200-630 m.
Well suitable for beginners and children! And even a short track of black for more advanced skiers.

You can angle with a rod and line in the summer time or jig thru a hole in the ice in the winter time without any special permission. Everyman's right includes the right to fish free of charge.
